SHOOT Quick Tip: Improve Trigger Control
An old classic dry fire drill, here’s a variation on a favorite! This is a great tip to help improve trigger control on a firearm with a flat top slide, like that of the Smith & Wesson M&P line. It gives you immediate feedback on whether you’re keeping the gun steady or not and if your trigger finger movement is smooth.
Another way I like to tell students to think about trigger control is try to imagine your trigger finger dragging through thick peanut butter as you engage the trigger straight back toward your nose. The motion should be smooth and consistent. Check out my series of shooting videos with Federal Premium on their YouTube channel and my SHOOT Tips here on my blog.
