Breaking Down Stage 3 – Ultimate Trick Shot Shooting Challenge | Season 5 Love at First Shot
I could not design a pro/am shooting challenge without including inspiration from the women who paved the way. Episode 4 and our 3rd course of fire for Season 5 of NRA Women’s Love at First Shot is a tribute to incredible women like Annie Oakley and “Plinky” Plinkerton.
Clays, corn cob pipes, buttons, dimes and yes, even a playing card set on the edge were the targets of the day for our four teams. To further shake things up, every single target in this challenge was worth raw points. That meant it was any team’s game with plenty of room for some major comebacks. Don’t worry, I won’t give it away when you can watch all the action unfold on NRAWomen.TV.
It is not uncommon in action shooting sports for competitors to know their standings throughout a match. If you have a strong mental game, it can be very useful in knowing when to play it safe and when to push or take a risk. In “Tribute to the Greats” knowing the math would once again come in handy.
