WATCH: Mother’s Day & 2A Moms
Happy Mother’s Day with a special shout-out to my 2A sisters and all the NRA moms out there. This Mother’s Day is a special one for me because we have another competitor in our family, my oldest daughter!
To the John Oliver types of the world who think women who shoot are either a laughing matter or offensive, writers in fashion magazines who think that binge-watching a web show makes them experts on the women’s gun culture, and those who march to cast their and all Americans’ rights away, I am sad for you.
Where you attempt to mock or rage against the lawful and project personal fear onto parents and kids, there are so many of us who stand together and teach our children about REAL firearms safety.
- We don’t stand for limited protection for the wealthy or privileged.
- We don’t advocate for selective feminism based on personal politics.
- We don’t vilify tools that are capable of saving lives and defending freedom.
We raise our children to be responsible in a country that, thanks to our Constitution, guarantees them basic rights, to live in liberty and pursue happiness.
As a mother of daughters, it’s my job to prepare my children to be the best they can be. It’s my job to empower them so that they will have a voice, a vote and the ability to protect it. The best part? We’ll have fun doing it together.
