WATCH: Setting Up the Action Target Plate Rack
Last week I shared what was in the crate that arrived for my birthday week…
I had a chance to unbox my new Action Target plate rack and, with help, got it assembled. I can’t tell you how stoked I am to get training on this! After Bianchi Cup, I took some time off from shooting to truly focus on healing up from that nagging back injury. I also recently had surgery (unrelated) that I had been putting off. As a result, I was forced to take it easy and not shoot for several weeks.
It seemed like forever, but I (finally) strapped on my Safariland rig, grabbed my Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P, a box of Federal Premium American Eagle 147 gr. 9mm and christened the new rack with lead! I won’t lie, I was worried I wouldn’t hit anything especially with black sights on black plates (yes, there will be paint in its future), but I was rather pleased with myself.
As I slowly return to training this month, plate rack drills will become a part of my regimen. Look for more videos in the future where I take on this row of steel plates and wish me luck at the USPSA Area 7 Championships in Maine this weekend.
