My NRA New Energy Profile
With the number of female shooters and hunters constantly on the rise, there’s a “new energy” among this group. These women are united by Second Amendment ideals and the desire to share a passion for shooting and the role firearms play in everyday lives. Recognizing how these influential women inspire others, the NRA features profiles on NRAWomen.TV called New Energy.
The short videos are filmed documentary-style and showcase these women in their element. Those featured include fellow teammates Maggie Reese and Molly Smith as well as women respected in the firearms industry like holster designer Lisa Looper and Gunsite’s Il Ling, just to name a few. It was an absolute honor to be asked and included in this group.
Last November I brought the whole family with me to Springfield, MA. Not only did we spend time visiting friends and family in the area, but my husband and I shot the inaugural Smith & Wesson IDPA Back Up Gun Nationals. Somewhere in the middle of all that, the NRAWomen.TV crew caught up with me for an interview and to film me shooting.
The NRA did a wonderful job of capturing my passion for my family and shooting and the result can be seen below. It’s a bit of a #throwbackthursday (#tbt) for me looking at the footage of my little ones. They grow so quickly! Please watch and consider sharing with anyone who may enjoy learning a bit more about me and my story.
