SHOOT Quick Tip – Go Prone FAST
Need to get into prone fast?
Here are two ways to get into the prone position quickly:
- Bend forward at the waist, extend your support hand out in front of you and as it makes contact with the ground, kick your feet back and out. Your support hand and arm catch your fall as you lower into the position.
- The second option is to drop to your knees first and then fall forward using your support hand and arm to lower yourself into prone.
Both methods are quick and efficient. If you lack upper body strength or have shoulder pain, go with method 2. If you have knee issues go with method 1.
