WATCH: Shooting the NEW Smith & Wesson M&P 10mm
This week I hit the range with my new 10mm M&P from Smith & Wesson. This project is a long time coming. I had a chance to shoot some prototype options a while back, and this version is even better!
These new M2.0 pistols feature:
- Armornite finish
- 18-degree grip angle with low barrel bore axis
- Enhanced grip texture with 4 palmswell sizes
- Extended steel chassis
- Barrel cut to a 1-in-10 twist
- 2, 15+1 capacity magazines
- Optics Ready with tall sights
- Both with and without thumb safety options
- 4 and 4.6-inch models
- 10mm M&P’s come with or without a thumb safety and are available in 4 and 4.6-inch versions.
- Flat-faced trigger with tactile and audible reset
- MSRP’s run from $654.00 to $665.00
I used Federal Premium American Eagle 180gr. FMJ ammunition with a Trijicon SRO 2.5 MOA and am impressed already. I shot at a 33%-sized Caldwell AR500 steel target from 25 and 50 yards offhand with no problem. I can’t wait to take it into the field deer hunting with Federal’s Trophy Bonded Bear Claw.
